Stanley was indeed a true gentleman and I regarded him as a friend too. Whenever we met he always greeted me with a smile and a very strong Masonic handshake. Rest In Peace V. W. Brother.

Dear Sylvia. My sincere condolences on your sad loss. I was so deeply honoured when Stanley appointed me as his Director of Ceremonies. For me Stanley represented all that is good about Masonry. His wise counsel will be sadly missed. I trust in time you will find peace and acceptance. i know how difficult it is.

Stanley was a true gentleman who touched the hearts of many. He was a much loved and inspirational Provincial Grand Master, whose inner strength brought dignity and integrity to the role - Stanley exemplified all that is best in Masonry. A true gentleman who had time for everyone

I am deeply sorry to hear of Stanley's passing from this sublunary abode... He was an absolute gentleman whom I was privileged and honoured to know for the last 18 years or so. Stanley always had a beaming smile and offered a genuine warmness that felt like a familial connection from the first time we met... I will miss seeing him on the circuit! Warm wishes and sincere condolences to all nearest and dearest to him. While those of us left behind are the poorer for his passing, The Grand Lodge above is better off for his arrival - I look forward to our next meeting...

RW Bro Stanley was a much loved Brother who's contribution to The Province of Somerset in particular and Freemasonry in general was appreciated and respected by all. He was totally dedicated to his high office which he conducted with dignity and sensitivity and was always approachable to offer his wisdom, help and guidance to others. He will be greatly missed.

Stanley was a great supporter of A&G over the years and gave a fifty year presentation just two years ago. By many senior members he had been considered as the best PGM of Somerset. The very sad loss of one of life’s true Gentleman, one who epitomised Freemasonary with honesty, integrity and decency. I will miss sitting next to you at P&I Chard amongst others across The Province and will also miss your humour and kindness. Lived respected and passed regretted.
